The heart of Foreqast: a rolling cashflow and P&L forecast built from your booked actuals.

The Core App is everything Foreqast ships with before you turn anything on. Connect a data source and you have a rolling 24-month cashflow and P&L forecast, built from your own booked actuals, updating as new ones arrive.

What's inside

The Foreqast table — the single grid that turns actuals into a forecast, with the projection stacked on top of the booked number in every cell.
Categories — the canonical lines every forecast is built on, and how each one is projected.
Dashboard — cash on hand, runway, and the trend behind them.
Decision simulator — model a decision against the live forecast before committing to it.

How the default forecast works

Every category is projected from its own history using a trailing 30-day average: the last 30 days summed, divided by 30, carried forward as a daily rate and aggregated into weeks and months. It is deliberately simple, and it is right often enough to be a sensible starting point for every line.

Where it is wrong, it is wrong predictably — periodic payments, anything that scales with volume, and anything you are about to change on purpose. Forecasting models covers what to switch those lines to, and each category page says where its own default breaks down.

What you get without any extensions

A complete cash and profit forecast, a runway date, and the ability to test a decision against it. That is enough to answer most of the questions a founder actually has. Extensions exist for the lines where the default projection is not good enough — they raise accuracy rather than unlock the basics.
