About Foreqast

Foreqast reads the data already sitting in your stack — accounting, shop, payments, ads, CRM — and turns it into a running forecast: how much money is actually in the bank next month, how long your runway lasts, and what a hire, a restock or a bigger ad budget does to both.

Accounting is the starting point because that is where the dependable numbers are. Everything else is a driver that sharpens the forecast.

Most small companies do not fail because they are unprofitable — they fail because the money is not in the bank at the moment it is needed. Profit and liquidity are two different things, and a spreadsheet updated by hand once a quarter shows the difference far too late.

Patrick Landolt knows that difference first-hand. Before Foreqast he built and successfully ran an e-commerce store — and found that for the question that actually mattered, there was no good tool: what can I actually afford next month?

The finance side was not new to him. He studied finance and accounting closely at university and worked as a tutor, helping a lot of students to better grades — and discovered along the way that the subject genuinely interested him.

That made the gap in the market all the more obvious: the tools that existed were either too expensive, too complicated for anyone without a finance background — or simply not useful enough. Affordable, understandable and genuinely useful did not come in one package. So he built it himself.

Foreqast is built and run by Patrick Landolt — with a founder's background in e-commerce and a grounding in finance and accounting from university and from working as a tutor.
